I have rust holes on my Chevy door front corners and have cut the front panel off but the rust goes all the way through to the next panel and was wondering if anybody has any ideas on what i should do with this? Manufacture some new ones out of sheet metal or something else? Its tricky because my inner door panel has a curve to it and ima have to cut that out to. Thanks! | | | | | Joined: Apr 2012 Posts: 23 New Guy | | New Guy Joined: Apr 2012 Posts: 23 | Maybe it might be easier to find a rust free door. I put new metal in my 67 Chevelle doors and looking back it would of been cheaper and quicker to just buy a rust free door.

I was thinkin? What if i made some metal the size of the cut outs and just cut all the way through both panels? Weld on the new pieces and done? Ive got the money for that. I just dont want to do it and it look weird as hell. Put the word out, as in the parts wanted forum, get to know some bolter friends and I'll bet you can get a couple nice doors for half what you think. | | |
