For helping keep this great
old truck web site
on the Internet for over 30 years! and not clogged down with Ads! Again, thanks! | | | | Joined: Sep 2010 Posts: 90 Wrench Fetcher | | Wrench Fetcher Joined: Sep 2010 Posts: 90 | Looking for insight on how to get my 235 to sound "better" than it does using the stock exhaust. Looking for a little rumble. Any experience or ideas would be great.

It's not too bad that the neighbors will complain (about the sound, the smell - maybe!) ...pic... Not the greatest video to hear the exhaust, but you can hear the throaty sound while coasting here... ...video... | | | | | Joined: Dec 2001 Posts: 14,522 Moderator: Welcome Centre, Southern Bolters, Legion Hall | | Moderator: Welcome Centre, Southern Bolters, Legion Hall Joined: Dec 2001 Posts: 14,522 | my local shop guys have a SoundMaster which is a cheaper version of the Flowmaster at just about a 3rd the cost. I put a single exhaust on my panel/305 and it sounds really good and somewhat "throaty". Entire custom made exhaust system and 4 wheel alignment for $150. I'm happy with the sound. | | | | | Joined: Sep 2010 Posts: 90 Wrench Fetcher | | Wrench Fetcher Joined: Sep 2010 Posts: 90 | would love to go the split header route but the funds are a little low right now.....do any of these suggestions have a negative affect on how the motor runs?

Didn't actually sound as loud as I thought it would. | | | | | Joined: Oct 2010 Posts: 91 Shop Shark | | Shop Shark Joined: Oct 2010 Posts: 91 | If you want Fentons go to Patricks.Just go to links.I got a universal exhaust kit from Jegs and low cost glass packs from them also.It was easy to weld up myself and looks and sounds great the best part is yo did it your self. | | | | | Joined: Nov 2011 Posts: 139 Shop Shark | | Shop Shark Joined: Nov 2011 Posts: 139 | | | |
