I am now on my second intake exhaust gasket set 1st one from carquest, 2nd one from auto zone, The reason I bought the second one is because it had shown in the picture the gasket between the exhaust manifold and the intake manifold. However Niether kit has it. Can I get a seperate gasket from someone? I guess I could make one but I would think a cork gasket would fail pretty quick here due to heat. ANy suggstions would be helpful. Keep in Mind I never saw this gasket in chevy duty, or LMC

My truck is a '54 235....to my surprise, they had it in stock ($11). Don't know what your choices are out there, but I think they are national. Good Luck.

Thanks a bunch, I hadn't tried the filling station yet for the gasket. Seems like I looked there for something and couldn't find it, or it was higher. On a side note, my head is still at the machinist, found that all the valve guides are shot. Gona be a few more weeks he said. But he said about 300 bucks or when shes done, then I'll have a pretty decently done head, with valves that seat properly Thanks Birge | | |
