Anyone using a Weber Carb on a 250 L6? I am aware that some of you believe anything but stock on a non race engine is a waste of time and money, but I believe many engines do respond well to a little increase in intake and exhaust capability. I have used several online formulas and and come up with what I believe are some stock capacities. I believe that the 250 L6 in stock configuration can inhale between 350 and 450 cfm at 4500rpm. The stock Rochester monojet can pass a max of 350 to 400cfm. I believe a free flow air cleaner, an HEI and a set of headers with a small fuel increase will make a big difference, so how about one of the 36/38 Webers, or the 38/38 series? Anyone got one working? There is a kit for a 258 cid JEEP. That carb should work on a 250 too.
Any practical info would be appreciated. I do NOT want anything on dual carbs or 4bbls. Thanks!
Les
