It looks like there may be a metal strip similar to the one over the rear window but I am not sure. If anyone has a picture or instruction advise on this, I would appreciate it. You start by installing the rear piece first (yes, there is a rear metal strip at the rear but not at the front).
Then, install the roof bow with the slot forward.
Then, install the front cardboard into the roof bow - the front of the cardboard is inserted under the windshield rubber seal.

The headliner rests on the windshield rubber until the inside windshield trim is installed.
