( Here is a PDF version of that ID page) T1723577 T = 1.5 ton truck from Flint Michigan assembly plant 1723577 = 1187822 (first truck serial number in 1938) = 535,775th truck out of the plant that year? Does this look right? 195447 is the first engine serial number in 1939. So, maybe Tom's code is good for 1938?
