No such thing as a "factory" bumper in '58. You got them at the dealer or aftermarket.

Most were dealer installed, with many being aftermarket, rather than GM. I've seen several different styles, Winchester (yes, the gun company) and Bardon (?) are the 2 I see the most around here. There is an RPO code for a rear bumper, RPO 218, so it is possible that at least some trucks did have a bumper installed at the factory.
