Well this is about an outfit that did everything right! They are www.tanks-to-pans.com/FuelTanks and they have great prices and an amazing selection of products. Nothing specific for our old trucks, but many guys like to move the tank out of the cab, and they have what I think would be perfect for that. Yesterday morning, I ordered a 31 gal. to use in my '69 panel and I just got an e-mail that said it will be here TODAY!!! with a UPS tracking number that says it is on the truck for delivery. That's GOOD SERVICE, and I thought I should pass it along! And they specify in their listing that the tank is a Spectra Premium Steel fuel tank made in north America. http://www.tanks-to-pans.com/site/823208/page/314684 All the other vendors that I’m aware of make no mention of the manufacturer in their listing. And when you call they are very vague about who their suppliers is. Not sure how their prices compare, maybe someone that is replacing one can report that to us in this thread, I don’t have the time right now to research it. Thanks for the heads up. I also got the longer straps to hold the bigger tank in my 1969 Panel for about $38.00. The rest of my total, about $182.00, was shipping. Not bad! It took about 26 hours from phone call order to my front porch!
Now I didn't bs about the weather with the guy taking the order, and I had my part numbers from the web site, so I was good to go.
This was just about the BEST vender experience I've ever had.

Spectra who is a wholesale operation (can't buy retail directly from Spectra).
Looks like the price is right in line with what the others are selling for. I'm seeing $165-$190
for the other vendors and they won't specify where they are coming from. I've have real bad
experience with the far eastern made tanks and had to send them back and get the Canadian
made Spectra tank which looks and fits like the original tank.
