Your local Napa should have a fuel pump for cheap. That might fix your problem.
starting simple...is the valve under the tank open?

How long did the pump sit while you cleaned the tank and lines. If it was a while the diaphram may have dried out and cracked.
Disconect the output to the carb and place you finger over the fitting. Keep clear of all moving parts and have someone crank the engine. You should be able to tell if you are pushing any air. Or you could just remove the fuel line at the carb and put it(the fuel line) into a clear bottle and crank.
Do you have the fuel filter in the right direction? Is the shut off valve open? Do you have pleanty of gas in the tank?

| | | | | Joined: Jan 2004 Posts: 30 Junior Member | | Junior Member Joined: Jan 2004 Posts: 30 | there is a couple of gallons of gas in the tank. the pump sat a week or so without gas in it but the glass bowl was on. when the gas line is unhooked there is no gas coming out. i blew air into line and heard bubbling in the gas tank. it seems like the gas line dips low and comes up higher to get to fuel tank. do i need more fuel in tank? | | |
