Hey there,

does anyone have a working set of door locks with key(s) for a '65 C20? My locks work, but I only got one key for the ignition when I bought the truck, none for the doors.

I got a complete set of locks n keys from LMC Truck. I imagine they will ship to Germany.

You can also remove the lock cylinder out of the door handle and take it to a locksmith and they can make you a key.

Wow, that's possible? I didn't know this, but I will try that because I want to keep as much from the original stuff as I can.

LMC would be an option, but maybe someone has an original set, not repro.

Hey Joern. I have a complete set of right & left outside door handles with locks & matching keys, if you are sitll looking.

The ignition and door locks use the same key. If yours do not match (not uncommon if either have been changed), a locksmith can make them match. I did that on mine, which had mismatched ignition, glove box, and door locks. Wasn't too much trouble, and the cost was minimal.

If the ignition, glove box & doors came from the factory with keyed tumblers, then they had one key, unlike the cars of the same era, which had an ignition key and a different truck & door key.

By the way, another question:

When I pull the headlight switch to first position, all parking lights come on. When I pull it to second, the headlights come on and the front parking lights are turned off. Is that correct? Or should the parking lights stay on regardless off the headlights?

Factory correct: The parking lights in the front go out when the headlights come on. You can add a jumper so they stay on when the headlights are on.

Yes john is correct. I never understood why they did that. It seems strange for them to go out.

Back then they were "parking" lights, and only on when you were parked or idling thru the drive-in.

I didn't know this and was wondering if it was only on my truck or factory correct. Because on my other truck they are constantly on which is necessary to get it street legal.

This is how we do the jumper to keep the park lamps on in middle-position & out-position on headlight switch:

Park Lamp Jumper

The jumper connects the blue wire and purple at the headlight switch harness.
