Well i just bought a 1950 chevy 3100 and have too many questions to list..The car is a work in progress as of right now most of the body work is complete it is in flat black primer. it is basically bare no wiring no brake,trans,fuel lines or wiring i just ordered a wiring kit 12v. I have a 283 and th350 that im going to be putting in it. I have all the crossmembers for install but came with no tips on placement on them. This is my first project car and i hope i didnt bite off more than i can chew. I wanted it to be a father son project but my dad got a temp job in florida and will not be around for a awhile. If there is any advice i could sure use it.

I just want to say that even though I have been lurking in the bushes for some time before posting any pictures, this group is great and if anyone can help answer questions (of course I have lots of questions, just don't know what to ask first). It will be interesting to see your progress. Welcome again.

Flagblack1950, welcome to the Bolt. I had a 50 pickup many years ago. Nice project and lots of parts are available for the AD style pickups.

I think the project will let you know the questions to ask as you go along. One of the best pieces of advice I believe is to be sure to take pictures of EVERYTHING you take a part. Take NOTHING for granted. You simply cannot not remember it all when you need it.
Lastly, take your time, think it out and do it once...but do it right.

Firstly,don't get overwhelmed by your new project,there's all the help and advice you need right here at the 'bolt.
My truck was my first major project and I wouldn't have got this far without this site.
Just ask in the appropriate sections and the guys will gladly help.
