Anybody here found an easy dual circuit master cylinder transplant for ton-and-a-halfs? The suicide single has gotta' go.

Don't know about the dual circuit master, but if your emergency brake is in good working order and adjusted correctly you should not have a problem. Brakes rarely completely fail without warning. Check lines for rust, wheel cyl & master cyl for leaks, and check fluid often and you should never have a catastrophic failure.

Just something to think about. Good luck, and let us know if you find something that will work well.

My truck isn't here for me to look at right now, but I'm going to try to use the 4 wheel drum brake master cylinder off my '67 Camaro and a distribution block from my '66 Chevelle. The plumbing is very simple where the front line of the master goes to the distribution block and then branches out to the front brakes. The rear line from the master will go directly to the rear. I may be able to use the original distribution block and close off the port to the rear and keep the fronts on it and run a new hard line from the master to the rears. If the Camaro master doesn't have enough displacement to move enough fluid for all the wheel cylinders, I will look at a '68-69 C50/60 master, as they should have gone to the dual by then too.

Here is the unit that I got from ABS Power Brake.

I have yet to put it to use as the truck that it is in is not finished yet but it was an easy bolt in as it mounts to the frame using the holes for the stock master cylinder and uses the stock pedal. In the picture it is shown with a hydro-booster and a dual circuit master cylinder. ABS supplied this entire unit I let them know what type and size brakes and the diameter of the wheel cylinders and that there were two per brake and they ensured that I would have the right master for the job. I opted to use a remote reservoir so it could be mounted for better access.
Hope that this helps I think that the mount it self would be pretty easy to build yourself but must say I was very happy with the help and service I got from ABS.

HH --- Lost track of this thread for a while but thanks for the input. I will definitely check these folks out. Have you mounted/tried out this MC yet?

I hate to say it but obviously this isn't a priority for him, and I can understand that, but if you are looking for something soon, you might want to try getting a dual master for a drum/drum setup and have a bracket made for you. I just did one for a friends truck, its not hard just do your research.
