Is it common for these to sit high in the connecting rod until torqued down? When I place them on the connecting rod and end cap and look at it from the side, it looks like a little smile  with between an 1/8 of an inch and a 1/16 of an inch between the two surfaces. What do you think? I dont want to ruin this before I get started. Thanks for the help. TOm

| | | | Joined: Nov 2001 Posts: 58 Member | Member Joined: Nov 2001 Posts: 58 | Tom, usually you have to push them down to seat them in the cap and rod. You should be able to do this easily by hand. Also you should torque them with plasti-guage to check tolerances before final assembly and put some sort of break in lubricant on before running. Good Luck | | |
