The rear brakes don't work at all although the fronts work fine. The master cylinder seems fine as it provides pressure to the front two brakes. I opened the rear bleeder screw and nothing came out even with the pedal pressed. Is there a blockage in the line? If so, how should I remove the blockage? Also the brake pedal is quite stiff and will only move an inch or two before it stops. Is this an adjustment issue or is it related to the rear brake problem? Thanks in advnace for all the help!

I have seen the flexible line swollen and plugged, t-block connectors plugged, and wheel cylinders corroded to heck. These parts are cheap enough at your local parts stores, and easy enough to replace, that I would replace the wheel cylinders, flexible lines and steel lines. Check the t-block to make sure it is clear too. Get the stopping power fixed and safe the first time. Let us know what you find.
P.S. Just because the fronts work, doesn't mean they don't need some service. Remember how old your truck is, and I will make an assumption that it has probably sat for some time too. | | | | | Joined: Jan 2010 Posts: 45 'Bolter | | 'Bolter Joined: Jan 2010 Posts: 45 | I have seen bleeder screws plugged with rust so it would appear no fluid is flowing to he cylinder.
