A 53 1-Ton Chevy popped up on Kijiji this week at an attractive price. It was located not terribly far from where I live so I decided to go have a look...and brought it home on the trailer.

There is quite a lot of usable tin on it that I'll be swapping onto my 51 1/2-ton project. And its got a visor...visors are cool.

So this is how the sickness starts huh? As of right now I've got two un-driveable trucks, three 216s and a kitchen table covered with an in-progress carb rebuild.

Pics of the new Bolt.

You're hooked, all right!! And if you've got a carb torn apart on the kitchen table, you're either single or else you have a VERY understanding wife!!! dance dance

Congrats. I'd keep em away from each other. Seems like once you get 2 together they manage to breed. I started out with one to restore a few years ago and before I knew it had 6 in various states of disrepair. I'm finally down to one driver and one project. Therapy helps. thumbs_up

Sorry to tell you but your condition is incurable. Your prognosis is this: condition incurable without the antitoxin, "strong willed wife".

Hello my name is John and I’m a truck-aholic, too (with 4 drive-able stovebolts – all licensed and insured) You’re right it’s an addiction. My wife lets me use the dinning room table as long as I cover it real well.

Good find, love the visor.

The visor was a real selling point for this truck, it's awesome.

And yep, I'm single and eat all of my meals sitting on the couch watching tv.
