For helping keep this great
old truck web site
on the Internet for over 30 years! and not clogged down with Ads! Again, thanks! | | | | Joined: Oct 2006 Posts: 1,847 'Bolter | | 'Bolter Joined: Oct 2006 Posts: 1,847 | Just in case any one is interested, somehow I ended up with 15" wheels on my 3100. BUT if you go to Les Schwab they have a 7.00-15 LT radial that is 29 and some inches tall. That according to the description the fella gave me (they need to order them in, and they don't have a photo) should have a relatively proper look for one of these trucks. At least for a modern tire. A whole set mounted and balanced runs around $850 with WA state sales tax ($157 per tire, for tires alone) | | | | | Joined: Sep 2001 Posts: 29,269 Bubba - Curmudgeon | | Bubba - Curmudgeon Joined: Sep 2001 Posts: 29,269 | | | | | | Joined: Dec 2005 Posts: 2,557 'Bolter | | 'Bolter Joined: Dec 2005 Posts: 2,557 | Seems like they will fit just right. You have to pay $157 per tire for just taxes ? Why

I remember buying a whole set of tires for my car, installed and balanced for about. $150. Granted, they were only 13" tires, but I haven't seen any truck tires for less than $100 a piece in a long time. | | | | | Joined: Apr 2005 Posts: 1,971 'Bolter | | 'Bolter Joined: Apr 2005 Posts: 1,971 | ......and there is $55 for siping which I don't want......... I admit my ignorance. I had to look "siping" up. | | | | | Joined: Jun 2009 Posts: 2,201 Shop Shark | | Shop Shark Joined: Jun 2009 Posts: 2,201 | First time I heard of "siping" my thought was it was pretty stupid to take a razor to a brand new tire. | | | | | Joined: Sep 2001 Posts: 29,269 Bubba - Curmudgeon | | Bubba - Curmudgeon Joined: Sep 2001 Posts: 29,269 | What brand of tire will be siped?
Does this affect the manufacturer's warranty (not the dealer's/seller's warranty)?
