Hi engine is a Chevy Inline 6 250 cid.
Anyone know what the inside Dia. would be with Standard Bearings installed and everything torqued up. On the Main Caps & Piston Rod Journals? I think I need .001 oversize.
But not sure? I mic the Crankshaft Mains at 2.2985 & Piston Rod Journals on the Crank are mic at 1.9992 to 1.9994. No out of round and no taper. Crankshaft is with-in spec.
Just not sure if I should order .001 or standard bearings? Bearings are NOT cheap.

Hello, This should help. The Mains bearing journal should be 2.2983-2.2993. Taper and out of round is just .0002. Crankshaft main bearing clearance is 0.0003-0.0029. End play is .002-.006. Rod bearing clearance is 0.0007-0.0027. Crankpin diameter is 1.928-2.000 Taper new wear 0.0003 +/_ 0.001. This is from a Clymer Chevy and GMC repair manual. Just had one rebuilt by a great machine shop. Can't wait to put it in m full size pick up. Bored .040, mild cam, 1.84 on the intakes, balanced, boss honed intake ports, decked block and milled head. Plus Moly rings and low dished pistons. Have an Offy 4bbl manifold with a new Holley 600 cfm carb, MSD and probably Fenton Headers with 3" Magnaflow exhaust for good flow but quiet with the large muffler. Should be a runner. I wish you well on your rebuild. I hope this info helps. Henry

You are well with in stock size or range. Even if its a little loose, it won't hurt a thing. These 250's have plenty of oil pressure and volume to keep up with a slight worn engine. Joe

Henery G....a question. Why did you chose such a large Holley for your engine? Thanks

Thanks for all the info.
WE b OLD As for your qestion. I will have many parts from a 1965 Chevy Truck 230 cid inline 6 engine. Will list All on Ebay. Its safer for seller & puchaser. And Yes I think I might have one in very good condition.
