For helping keep this great
old truck web site
on the Internet for over 30 years! and not clogged down with Ads! Again, thanks! | | | | Joined: Feb 2006 Posts: 428 'Bolter | | 'Bolter Joined: Feb 2006 Posts: 428 | I was undeer the 52 over the weekend, and noticed that it did not have a heat shield on the under side of the bed. That got me to wondering, did all the 1/2 ton ad trucks have them or just certain years? | | | | | Joined: Dec 2001 Posts: 14,522 Moderator: Welcome Centre, Southern Bolters, Legion Hall | | Moderator: Welcome Centre, Southern Bolters, Legion Hall Joined: Dec 2001 Posts: 14,522 | ....my 50 pickup had one.... and so does my 52 panel. I've seen them on some vendors sites, or you could make your own. | | | | | Joined: May 2004 Posts: 1,312 'Bolter | | 'Bolter Joined: May 2004 Posts: 1,312 | I made a couple for my exhaust.....just aluminum sheet rolled over my leg | | | | | Joined: Feb 2006 Posts: 428 'Bolter | | 'Bolter Joined: Feb 2006 Posts: 428 | Thanks for the replies. I thought they were factory items. My 52 probably had one, and it was removed, as the bed is pretty good shape. There is some wood rot up next to the cab where leaves and trash blow in. One of the local guys has one that I have had my eye on. Guess I will have to talk to him. | | |
