Sweet. Now I just have to leave the island someday, and meet you guys and gals. I generally curtail my activities to the island over here. What with the darn high price of the ferries, and my vast financial empire laying in ruins.

I have a '54 1/2 ton 5 window Project Daily driver.
I was all set for the Langley Cruize in but lost my transmission the day before.
I'll be ready for the next one.
Since I'm looking for a tranny after xmas, any swap meets coming up in the near future?

There is the VCC Flea market thing coming up early next year and of course Mission Springs brunch after that... might be a good event to join us at if you can't make it to our Christmas party?

Problem with the ferrys besides the HIGH cost is the timetable. Last one leaves the mainland at 9. There is some activity here on the island. Over the years we have had a couple of cruises. I know of about 8 old Chevy trucks in the area so maybe come spring time we could organize a cruise.

Are you the one who bought the Albion ferry today, Dave?

Great idea being able to go on a 50 year old ferry in 50-75 year old trucks and not being restricted to staying on land... now THAT is taking your truck for a cruise! wink

Hi Greengrass, You must be a fan of Heartbeat, the British TV show. Your truck should be a maroon flat bed lorry. To all bc bolters that list BC as a location, edit it to show a town or city that is close to you.

Heck.... My 51 is on the road pretty much all the time! She's work in progress while still having fun driving. Happy too have wipers, heat and windows that work!
She's adapting to BC weather just fine!

Oldblu and Britcon are the two two I have seen in this thread that don't offer those specifics... must be that witness relocation program thing... lol wink

Hi 3B, I'll be collecting that loonie as soon as I can get to a Bolter's cruise-in. Something out in Cloverdale would be good, there is a group there trying to get the Teamsters Truck Museum relocated to the fairgrounds. They have a lot of nice restored trucks of all makes.

Greengrass: You'll have to get Bobb (3B) to tell you all about the Teamster's truck museum... he goes way back on this one and as I recall used to even work with them... I suspect he knows their collection better than most people having worked on many of them! Maybe if you give him a buck he'll tell you what he knows... lol wink

We had just spoken about the possibility of them moving to the Fairgrounds at our Christmas BC Bolter meet... is that confirmed or just a rumor?
