I found some fender moldings for my 48 Suburban and on the front fenders the bottom two fit well but the top molding has more curve than the fender. I wanted to ask if anyone knows if Suburban fenders are more narrow than truck fender in the area where the top fender molding would go ?

The front fenders are the same on all 47-53 1/2, 3/4, and 1 ton trucks.

Are you sure that all of the moldings are for the front fenders? You may have a mix of moldings from the front and rear fenders. Can you post some pictures?

J-KAT, those are some nice looking moldings! From your pictures they look to have the correct profiles. Marty's pictures are very similar and can be used for comparison. Is it only one fender molding that doesn't fit well? Have you compared it to the other side? You can put it upside down and it should be very close.

Are those reproductions? They do appear to be a little more curved than the originals I have. You can tell by the inside hammer marks, they should not have any marks at all if they are originals.

Thanks Tim , , , I'm thinking my fenders are after market. The funny thing is the burb had fender moldings on it once before. What ever the case is I'll get them fitted on there. Thanks again

I believe there repops because they are not stainless but they do not have any hammer marks on the inside. I compared them to a og front set that I have at a polish shop and the curve is the same so I'm thinking it's my fenders.
