Can it be done like chrome or powder coating on any metal ? | | | | | Joined: Jun 2005 Posts: 1,756 Shop Shark | | Shop Shark Joined: Jun 2005 Posts: 1,756 | There is a paint I have seenthat looks ok on a wall, I don't know about heat resistance. I just went with power coat on the stuff I needed cleaned up. | | | | | Joined: Jan 2009 Posts: 121 'Bolter | | 'Bolter Joined: Jan 2009 Posts: 121 | You can nickel plate and hit it with a fine skotch bright pad in one direction.. should look good | | | | | Joined: Oct 2006 Posts: 4,983 Master Gabster | | Master Gabster Joined: Oct 2006 Posts: 4,983 | This may not answer your question as asked but may be helpful in the future. I discovered a chromer in the Balch Springs area of Dallas who does a very good job and is incredibly inexpensive. These two parts cost me only $10 each. He has been in business for 19 years and has a big-time shop with 7,000 gal tanks. Chrome hood 3600's

I've done a couple tests on some spare chrome parts and it gives you a nice brushed aluminum affect. | | | | | Joined: Nov 2008 Posts: 137 Shop Shark | | Shop Shark Joined: Nov 2008 Posts: 137 | What size of piece? you could use a drill press and engine turn it. | | | | | Joined: Oct 2006 Posts: 4,983 Master Gabster | | Master Gabster Joined: Oct 2006 Posts: 4,983 | What size of piece? you could use a drill press and engine turn it. If your question was directed at me, the two pieces (3600) are 4" X 2".
