What is the conensus for putting the black rubber mat in rear of the 36 suburban..or NOT...wood will look pretty when finished..and then cover? But correctly is was covered with rubber mat? Also is Steele the best place for floor mat and roof vinyl...or is there another source? thanks guyd...Bruce

I know on the later AD suburbans the floor was covered in a grooved battleship linoleum or some similar material. Did the '36 come with a rubber mat over wood?

Yes..Kurt..the rubber mat was there and had a thin pattern line on it..so will get nice oak but will end up covering it with blk mat. bruce

I think the wood looks better. If you are going strictly stock then cover up the wood. It seems nobody can find the "correct" linoleum, mat, whatever anyway so I elected to let the wood show. My .02.
