Glad to hear it but there seems to be no one around my area that is a member. In Louisiana at least. Plenty in Texas though.
Thanks

I just joined up with my 1953 3100 1/2 ton. Truck was a dealership shop truck from SC its whole life. I am the first private hands it has been in since new. Truck is a very good driver, not a show truck, with a 10 year old restoration. Truck spent the last 10 years parked on the showroom floor and used in parades. Seems to be pretty clean all-original truck that I intend to keep as-is with some accessory updates. Garage kept, but no trailer-queens here. I just like it clean and presentable. I enjoy paying homage to history and intend to keep it preserved for another 50 years.

If any of you local Stovebolters want to get together, let me know. I live in Mandeville and unfortunately this subdivision doesn't look kindly upon anything vintage mechanical and certainly no automotive repair work at the house. Used to live on 10 acres, but since Katrina wanted something "easier" --- well, I got that and whole lot more.

I would be more than willing to bring beer and food if you have a nice place to work on our old trucks for fun or just grab a quick meal at Abita Brew Pub. Would be cool to see several vintage Stovebolts parked right up front near the trace, huh?

Would be nice to meet up with ModelMan and Tommy above and see if we can wrangle in a few more victims.... smile

Cheers,
Andy

Looks like there's enough to start a Stovebolt Cajun GABFest. Or down on the Stovebolt by-you. Or something fun and clever (not MY area of expertise).

Jake Groby "V-6 Fix (Modelman)" would probably know even more.

That would be good. Louisiana is far enough away from SC and TX. I'm sure there are others.

Someone contact us ([email protected]) for the details. Check these details, too. Hope to get this page updated this weekend.
