I forgot to mention that little 1" X 1 "tab on the top back of my distributor cap ( where the wires plug into ) hits the firewall way to hard ,and wont allow me to turn it at all , what would happen if i turned it 180
degrees so the tab was in the front , this would solve all my problems, can this be done without messing anything else up ? thanks

Your distributor doesn't really care which way it is pointing.
