What are others using? I just looked at the ARP catalog. Almost everything they have listed is for the 250 series blocks, not the 235,261. I can order studs, which I might do, for the head. I'm just curious what others are doing.

Make sure the threads are clean and they are properly torqued, youll be OK. | | | | | Joined: Mar 2002 Posts: 9,115 'Bolter | | 'Bolter Joined: Mar 2002 Posts: 9,115 | I second the above motion. | | | | | Joined: Sep 2001 Posts: 29,270 Bubba - Curmudgeon | | Bubba - Curmudgeon Joined: Sep 2001 Posts: 29,270 | | | | | | Joined: Oct 2006 Posts: 1,847 'Bolter | | 'Bolter Joined: Oct 2006 Posts: 1,847 | well if you do decide to get new bolts, ARP doesn't have a full complement of bolts that will fit in all the locations, they do however have studs that will work. ARP was the best company to work with I have ever seen. | | | | | Joined: May 2005 Posts: 235 Shop Shark | | Shop Shark Joined: May 2005 Posts: 235 | I went with the bolts I had. When I realized this engine will NEVER see 6000 rpm I made my decision. I used to build High output 5 cylinder turbo powered engines.. I guess old habits die hard.
Now when I build a six with Fuel Injection, Electronic Ignition, Turbo, yeah ... then I'll call ARP.
@brokenhead- yeah they are always simple to deal with. Jeremy | | |
