At any rate, it is good to know that there was one more truck rescued from the rust demons! | | | | Joined: Sep 2006 Posts: 2,393 Shop Shark | Shop Shark Joined: Sep 2006 Posts: 2,393 | I am always impressed with Rick's knowledge. I'm sure he does alot of research on each thing he restores. I'm also impressed with how much those residents of Vegas are willing to pay for the end product. They do seem to have deep pockets.

But then you are paying him for what he knows how to do, not what he does. | | | | Joined: Aug 2011 Posts: 28 New Guy | New Guy Joined: Aug 2011 Posts: 28 | Did anyone see Rick spraying the back of the bed, red, OUTSIDE? Then at the end, the quality of the paint on the truck. I have to think somewhere along the way the truck was sprayed in a booth, or a lot of sanding and buffing. | | | | Joined: Mar 2009 Posts: 51 Wrench Fetcher | Wrench Fetcher Joined: Mar 2009 Posts: 51 | Take a real good look at these guys do you really believe what you see ? If so I have some great deals on swamp land . The show is just that a show for people who can not tell fact from fiction. | | | | Joined: Feb 2011 Posts: 81 Wrench Fetcher | Wrench Fetcher Joined: Feb 2011 Posts: 81 | It kinda reminds me of the WWE. Yeah the falls (restorations) are real but it is all scripted for intertainment! | | | | Joined: Oct 2009 Posts: 426 Shop Shark | Shop Shark Joined: Oct 2009 Posts: 426 | Too bad they advertised the show on the 65 and only showed 5 min of it. They could have filled a 1/2hr segment easy. Trucks did a much better 7-8 episode segment on a nice 65 last year. | | | | Joined: Oct 2005 Posts: 116 Shop Shark | Shop Shark Joined: Oct 2005 Posts: 116 | I was a little disappointed in the actual time the truck remake was featured compared to the hype shown in the previews of the show . I think that show is disappointing in general and have stopped watching it ( the exception was last night because of the advertised '65 C10 makeover ).

Talk about a false impression. You would have thought by watching this show that the yard was just full of 60's truck stuff. They made their "finds" look so easy.
Well in reality there isn't one single 60-66 chevy truck in that yard. Nothing, nada, zilch.
Maybe Hollywood planted the stuff to make the show realistic. | | |
