They say money can't buy happiness. It can buy old Chevy trucks though. Same thing.

The show is more about the people not the material. At any rate, it is good to know that there was one more truck rescued from the rust demons!

I am always impressed with Rick's knowledge. I'm sure he does alot of research on each thing he restores. I'm also impressed with how much those residents of Vegas are willing to pay for the end product. They do seem to have deep pockets.

It is mind boggeling at the amount of money this guy gets to do what he does.

But then you are paying him for what he knows how to do, not what he does.

Did anyone see Rick spraying the back of the bed, red, OUTSIDE? Then at the end, the quality of the paint on the truck. I have to think somewhere along the way the truck was sprayed in a booth, or a lot of sanding and buffing.

It kinda reminds me of the WWE. Yeah the falls (restorations) are real but it is all scripted for intertainment!

Too bad they advertised the show on the 65 and only showed 5 min of it. They could have filled a 1/2hr segment easy. Trucks did a much better 7-8 episode segment on a nice 65 last year.

I was a little disappointed in the actual time the truck remake was featured compared to the hype shown in the previews of the show . I think that show is disappointing in general and have stopped watching it ( the exception was last night because of the advertised '65 C10 makeover ).

People who learn to "restore" things by watching that show probably get their tips on developing social skills by watching "Jersey Shore". Chewing gum for the mind!

Since I don't live all that far from Vegas I drove up to the bone yard where the kid supposedly bought his parts, Las Vegas Truck Salvage.

Talk about a false impression. You would have thought by watching this show that the yard was just full of 60's truck stuff. They made their "finds" look so easy.

Well in reality there isn't one single 60-66 chevy truck in that yard. Nothing, nada, zilch.

Maybe Hollywood planted the stuff to make the show realistic.
