It's not a new idea, especially among model builders and possibly some of you have already utilized it. Take some bright acrylic paint and a small brush and paint over the timing tab covering the indented timimg marks. Let it try about 30 seconds, than wipe away the excess with a tissue leaving the paint in the marks. It might take a couple of coats to get it right. I did this on a 292 I am freshining up. Paint the pointer in the window a bright color (I used flat white) and perhaps a dab on the BB on the flywheel. Makes them much easier to see.
