Wondering if anyone has ever had a whistle sound come from their carb? My Rochester B makes this whistleing sound as I accelerate. I recently replaced my carb. and the noise started with the new carb.

Yesterday afternoon I tightened everything on the carb. While running the engine at idle I sprayed carb cleaner around the intake manifold and the base of the carb. As I sprayed, and on the right side where the manifold, gasket and carb base sit, I would notice that the engine would slow and stumble. I believe this is saying I have a leak in this area. Am I correct?
