Everything thing is 12V including headlights and regulator. Im wanting to go through it and put new bearings and brushes.. everything esle looks pretty good. I see there is what looks to be a casting number on the armature and maybe a 3 digit number on both ends. It has the roller bearing in the rear cap which makes me think it is a heavy duty model?? It has no tags on it. Can anyone help me with this? Would like to check for shorts and get a rebuild kit but im not sure about the model number or type of generator it is.

The Oldsmobile and Cadillac 45-amp generators had ball bearings on both ends, and a long housing with a step-down about 3 inches from the back end. Try looking up parts for an early-1960's Olds 98 generator or one for a Cadillac Fleetwood of about the same vintage. I think the last year for generators for those cars was 1961 or 62.

Yeah it does have the step down about 2 inches from the back.. about 4 inches in diameter. It looks like they have retrofitted another bracket on it because the bolt slots for the engine bolts have torch cuts in them
