any thoughts gentelmen? | | | | | Joined: Aug 2011 Posts: 835 Shop Shark | | Shop Shark Joined: Aug 2011 Posts: 835 | You might check which head it has on it. There was a higher compression head made for the 235 which you will like. The casting number was 3836848, I believe.
It was used as the replacement head for the 6 cylinder Corvette engine among other stock 235 uses. It was also the head of choice for folks building a 261 racing motor.

By far ther more common approach to hopping up a 235 was to mill the head 040.-.050. Doesn't make all that much difference anyway. These were low comprsssion engines in the 6.5-7.0:1 range. | | | | | Joined: Oct 2011 Posts: 51 Wrench Fetcher | | Wrench Fetcher Joined: Oct 2011 Posts: 51 | ok noted ,what do you guys think about intakes? is a dual or even triple just for looks but moore hasle or is ther any gain in this? | | | | | Joined: Dec 2004 Posts: 1,897 Shop Shark | | Shop Shark Joined: Dec 2004 Posts: 1,897 | A properly selected multi carb setup will offer modest improvment in power and economy. Most setups fall short of ideal.
Others might disagree, but I believe it is totally worth the hassel to be able to say you have trips. The biggest hassel is opening your hood everytime somebody wants to see them. | | | | | Joined: Oct 2011 Posts: 51 Wrench Fetcher | | Wrench Fetcher Joined: Oct 2011 Posts: 51 | lol that kind of hassel i can live with!!! so any spesifik setups you want to share intakes carbs? im a noob you know | | |
