First off, Thanks for this site!! It has been a big help.

Got started on the 1 ton and have pics on photobook but I am getting to a point where some choices have to be made.

I plan on keeping the 1959 235 the truck had when I bought it, I will put in a short water pump so the rad. support will look alot better.

Would like to keep it a 4 speed. Will a muncie m22 go in the truck while keeping the original floor? And what about adding overdrive? I think it would go nicely with the 4.10 rear after I swap the third member. But this is new territory for me, so I am open to suggestions.

Have the old truck stripped down to cab and engine, tranny coming out tonight.

I bought this truck several years ago from a guy in his 90s and he was the original owner. He had the 216 replaced with the 235 in the 70s and he used the truck in his electrical business. I brought it home and stored it in my barn, I'd like to say look at the great barn find but I knew it was in there.

From the pictures the truck looks pretty solid. Nice find. keep the pics coming. Looks like your moving along pretty good.

The motor is on the stand, the tranny is on the table. Leaving the cab on over winter. I don't like to bury the truck back in the barn, but thats where it will spend this winter.
