I just got a brand new front panel for my 57 from a nice guy in North GA and I want to get a primer on it. I will be using Zerorust red oxide for the primer. Should I roughen up the panel as it is? With a orbital sander or will steel wool suffice?
Thanks

Brand new panel - does it have the black primer on it? If so, scuff it well with a Red Scotch Pad, or 320 Grit, clean with Wax and Grease remover, then primer. | | | | Joined: Jan 2011 Posts: 138 Wrench Fetcher | Wrench Fetcher Joined: Jan 2011 Posts: 138 | Lol yeah steel wool does sound like a dumb idea now. Yes it has that black primer. Thanks

I will consider it a test for Zerorust's adhesiveidity. Yes I made that word up.
