Many parts are now at the metal blaster, Body work has been started on cab's doors. Most of the wood is good on this ol barn find, some rot in cab's corners. Should I remove the frame off chassis.?.(big job) OR..use Abatron a good epoxy Wood produict to rebuild small areas. I've been told to remove frame might need bracing to avoid cracking, the wood floor needs to be redone of course, wood underneath good.. Blaster guy says he can get to all undercarriage areas to blast real well. However, realizing what you are doing and IF the blasting guy can truly clean all the undercarriage "real good" then I would go against my own logic and say repair the bad places a piece at a time...and I think some apoxies are as strong as the material themselves.
(I don't tear off the entire roof, or rip up the entire house floor to replace one or two boards)
This is just "my" opinion but seeing the problems tearing it all apart would create for you, and not necessarily be any better, I think I'd repair what you need to and keep going.

But that should be enough for the time being. I need wood patterns for the taigale, as the wood is all gone there. Anyone come to mind? thanks a lot. Doors are being repaired, and lower cowl on both sides too. As for Wood bed..will repair slowly. At the mount points of the cab and bed are various height wood blocks. PHOTOGRAPH and/or measure them before he "blasts" the bottom. Any of them that are soft,rotten etc,may disintegrate- and you'll need to replace them. I had to "frame off" mine, and the proper height of those little blocks is really important!! Be sure to use the epoxy consolidant BEFORE you do any blasting.

Did I mention I found a liberty head 1934 dime.. as I got some of the rust out doors? It made my day to find that Dime..ha! Motor goes to the mechanic soo..then will see if he can make it move!!
