I picked this truck up 3 weeks ago. It came with a bunch of random new parts which meant that I had to put them on the truck. It also meant that I had to get more parts to do the whole job properly instead of just doing band-aid repairs.
It was painted with rattle can primer which I am currently removing one little bit at a time from both the original Omaha Orange paint and from the Stainless trim around the windows. the interior of the cab was a mess thought there is really very little rust in the whole truck. There were mice living in it at some point and the urine has left some scaly rust mess that I had to get rid of.
you can see the photos here: before purchase

I'd rather walk and carry a Chevy hub cap than ride in a Ferd.

Great Looking Truck! I like your canvas bed cover with the bows, I have been thinking about making something like that for my 1/2 ton.

I wanted to be able to haul a motorbike and be able to still camp out in the back. With the cover like this I can put it on or take it off in a few minutes. The hoops use 1/2 emt and 1/2 90 degree corners along with waterproof connectors. This allowed me to put the whole thing into a sack instead of just the trap and the bows leaning against a wall taking room.
I'll shoot some photos of it in the near future and post them for folks to see....

Jeremy
