If I use a Saginaw 4 spd, the shifter is side mounted, causing a bit of tight fit with seating arrangements, and a bit more difficult floor cuts due to supports, etc. A 5 speed, such as S-10 would have, is a top load trans shifter, logic says easier fitment for floor/shifter/seat. Please advise. Grant.

I have an aftermarket rear trans support, and the newer splined slip yoke at the trans. Clutch, standard or hydraulic? Let me know. Grant.
