I need information on how to remove and replace the heat tube from the throttle base of a BC carb. I have a carb that is plugged solid with carbon (I'd guess) right where the tube exits the base. I have tried pouring laquer thinner into the tube and let it soak overnight, tried poking a 14 ga. wire through it, all to no avail. Please help. thanks.

Or if its the carb you can post a few photos and we can give you a few ideas on how to repair it. Here is a good replacement. Or if needed find a good core and just use the bottom half. the you can reuse the top horn of your old bc carb.

Put some heat to it with a torch & poke a wire through it. This is done after it is dissasembled & any gas dried out.

We use heat at work to clean out dirty mufflers on weedeaters and such, it turns the crud to dust, then you can just blow it right out.

you can try some oven cleaner. That seams to eat threw it good.
