If so i would strongly recommend you find a local glass shop who can use the originals as templates.
Why? Because i've noticed some aftermarket kits are 'marginal' to say the least.(Speaking from experience)
The front windshields I copied from a friends set were a lousy fit.
I assume you'll be replacing rubber seals too.
Steele Rubber seem to be the ones most favoured around here.
Not the cheapest but by all acccounts the best.

Marginal eh? At least I'll know what I am getting into. I do have the originals - 3 broken and the rest badly bubbled. Otherwise I guess we wouldn't have replaced them. I ordered the whole weatherstrip kit (Golden State Parts). Too late to go back now. Well let's hope I get lucky and everything fits. Thanks for the info. I'll let you know.

I did check some originals to a set of new ones back a year or so ago and there was very little difference. Not enough to cause a problem anyway....but that was back them!! I've read many testimonials here that the window channels are as big of pain, even somewhat more so than the glass itself.
But we have lemons and peaches in all of the stuff at times.

I was just relating my personal experiences,I'm sure they're not all bad.
Like Alvin said,your 'original' glass might not all be as it was when it left the factory.
A lot can happen over nearly 60 years!
Check your new glass against what came out your truck and it'll give you a better idea of what you've got to work with.

All the glass looks good so far. We 'eyeballed' them up to the old glass and they all seem the same. I do have a question on the wing windows though. There is a couple washers and a spring and nut that go on the bottom of the wing windows - seems we all forgot what order they go back on and none of the reference material I have shows a really clear picture. Any ideas? Thanks.

I do remember there is a couple leather wahers and one of them goes "inside the little box".....I'll check tomorrow afternoon if I can remember!!
