I know this has been talked about, but here is how it can be done.

Restorodstogo.com Nice work, doesn't look as hard as I thought it would be. It's nice when you know what you are doing! cool

I can appreciate the work after patching together a truck, all you need is patience and a little know how and when you don't know how you ask.
Don't forget a little filler goes a long way in the end so the welding dose not have to be perfect, just needs to be solid.

WOW!! Just WOW!! That is SO cool. We are getting started on the resurrection of our much beloved '49 Burb. The Barn-door setup is what we wanted for the ease of getting up to the floor, so we were thinking about swapping the clamshell configuration for barn doors, but this is much better. Got to show it to the resto shop where the Punkin is currently waiting before the trip to the shop that will do the mechanical fabrication.

I also saw this one at the reunion. Very nice job. He also had removed the sliding side windows and replaced them with solid stationary glass and added air conditioning among other improvements. Very cool cruiser.
