I'm looking at building a flatbed with woodsides that mimics the look of stepside bed with woodsides. Just want to know the spacing of the stakeposts.

I understand the 4 stake hole version is rare. Evenly spaced for a flatbed is kind of the plan, but I was just curious as to how the stepside bed spaced them.
Does anyone know if it only came on certain model years, i.e. Advance Design, Task Force, etc?

I know AD trucks have 9' beds on 1 tons and have 4 stake pockets, mine has one of those beds.
I've seen them on late 60's trucks but don't know any more or other years or how many pockets.
I can measure mine sometime if you like, don't know if they're evenly spaced or not?. Honestly though it would make a whole lot more sense if you just spaced yours evenly for your bed length.

Here is some more measurements taken from the outside front side rail to the center lines.
2.25" stake pocket
32.25" support
78.25" support
106" stake pocket
108.25" overall length
So the pockets are NOT evenly spaced if you had 4.

I had a thought that it might be due to the placement of the rear fenders or the spacing of the cross sills. However according to measurements I have, they don't coincide.
Anyhow, 34.5" from center to center would be evenly spaced with the same amount of clearance for size of pocket and space on ends.
