Here's some pics of what my husband and I have been working on for the past year. http://photobucket.com/53gmc2ton Lots more work to go and many parts to find. I did some fiberglass repair work on the floor pan yesterday and my husband took a nasty dent out above the headlight - turned out great! Will add more as we go.

Do you know how the strap winches were used that are on the back of your truck? My one ton came with the same ones mounted on the back. You normally only see them on the sides of the bed. Good luck on the project and thanks for the pics. | | | | | Joined: Aug 2011 Posts: 71 Wrench Fetcher | | Wrench Fetcher Joined: Aug 2011 Posts: 71 | We haven't tried them out quite yet. One would assume that straps would have to be pretty hefty. I think you just use a bar and ratchet them down. As soon as get to fiddle with them I will surely update. Thanks!

I have a few new pics - done a bit of work. Fiberglass work to floorpan. floorpanA little before and in progress of cleaning up chrome pieces on dash dash dash2Pulled doors off to start cleanup and repair to get ready for new glass and weatherstrip. doorsWing windows are sure a challenge! Pulled all the old glass out and prepped surfaces to go back in with all new. Hope the glass gets here today. Also had to pull the bed back off frame to get it a few inches away from cab. Going to be a few repairs needed there. Replaced lower right side cab corner - will get more pictures today to post.
