Hi I'm new to this site and am restoring a 1951 1 ton long bed for a friend of mine, here in wisconsin, was looking for a good source of info and pictures and came across stovebolt.com. This is a great site, I think I should be able to answer a lot of my questions with the help of the pics and resto stories on here. I don't really have any pics to post just yet (not very good at getting pics, always seem to forget) but I will try to snap some this weekend.

I think after I get this one finished I need to look for a project truck for myself, I like the 47-54 but also the 55 and up body style.

I'd rather walk and carry a Chevy hub cap than ride in a Ferd.
I can explain it to you, but I can't understand it for you smile

I am also helping a Friend restore a '49 3/4 ton. The Forum will offer up many 'garage pits & tips' / help with many of your questions. Welcome and good luck with your project.
