If its a v-8 its most likely a 283.

inliners numbers | | | | | Joined: Mar 2009 Posts: 788 'Bolter | | 'Bolter Joined: Mar 2009 Posts: 788 | 1960 c10,20 and 30 used a 235 i6 and a 283 v8. this is in stk configuration. gmc used the 261 along with the 235 i6. canadian production gmc used a 283 v8 and us production used a 305 v6.
