Like most here been into cars all my life, but this will be my first hot rod. Most don't think my VW Volksrod would qualify, but I do. Any way after owning it for 19 years it came time for a change and traded it for a 1954 Chevy 3100 p/u, in kit form so to speak. In lots of pieces, has had some updates, some new pieces, but lots of work ahead. This being my first old car I'll be searching a lot and asking even more questions. Thanks in advance

Hi C4,welcome,you're in good company here.

There's a fair few of us here 'cut our teeth' on VWs.
You have all the knowledge and advice at your fingertips here, just ask away and the answers will follow.

Good luck.
Jock.

I'd rather walk and carry a Chevy hub cap than ride in a Ferd.

Welcome, C4! You'll find lots of pics in the gallery and on member's web pages to help assemble your "kit." Boy, I don't think I've seen a Volksrod since the 70's...... wink

Welcome to the " bolt ". I think most of us here appreciate all forms of mechanical marvels....Antiques, rods, low-riders, hi-buck customs, even rat rods. VW guys fit right in !
