I am redo-ing the brakes and tires on the ton/half...got all the brake parts from Altretta, thanks, Geoff...tires local...
I canNOT separate one of the front wheels from the brake drum...right you say, it is rusted together, just tap it with a sledge...did that, and ran the lugnuts back and tapped them...that drove the lugs out...set it up with bars under the rim and a tractor with a front end loader on the center of the drum and lifted the tires of the tractor off the ground...no go...I have multiple cans of penetrant oil, P.B. Blaster, auto tranny fluid, crow bars, breaker bars, 14 lbs sledge hits... I drilled large holes in the tires and used a welding torch to heat the rim...it will not separate. So, I'm looking for ideas from you shade tree guys...
thanks, Motoswiz
