On a '51 3100, which bumper would you recomend, a stainless or chrome? If chrome, from which vendor? I've heard some have been disappointed with chrome from certain vendors. Thanks

Elmer, if I were doing it over again I'd get the SS. It isn't as bright as the chrome but if you need to rework it with a file you can buff it back up to a shine.
All of the chrome ones I've seen have very rough unfinished edges and once the chrome plating is on, it's to late to change it.

I agree with Denny but if Chrome is what you want I recommend Bill's Speed Shop out of Ohio. I and some other bolters have bought at least 6 in the last 4-5 months. I'm pleased as a pig in a mud pit with mine compared to some "other" places I've gotten bumpers!

Any contact info for Bill's? It appears his website is no longer there.

Since someone mentioned SS, any recommendations on where to get an SS bumper? (preferably American made?)

Bills Speed Shop 330-832-9403 you may have to call a couple times. He works mostly by his self in the shop and may not hear the phone sometimes.
