I am currently thinking of using a steering gear from a ford f5 or f6. any thoughts? I know somewhere someone has done this before. | | | | | Joined: May 2005 Posts: 8,878 . | | . If you're going to use a different box i'd look for something more modern than an f6.

I just try not to make any of those!! | | | | | Joined: Jan 2001 Posts: 1,424 ODSS President | | ODSS President Joined: Jan 2001 Posts: 1,424 | People are talking over on the HAMB of mounting the engine a few inches towards the passenger side, claims are that it's regularly done with early and late model engine placement, and most of the time your 200# butt is on the driver's side so that a more even weight distribution is realized. Food for thought...
