I'm assembling a bed on my '53 3100, some new, some used parts. I started from scratch, the bed on this truck when I bought it was from an International KB truck, and it didn't fit correctly. I need the dimensions of where the cross sills go, how the wood blocks and rubber pads are assembled, and any other dimensions available. Thanks.

You should have bolt holes for guides.

Kinda of a few holes in the top of this frame. Is there anyone who can actually give me a measurement from the inside front of the bed to the other two cross sills?

I just measured my old floor boards as I am also replacing the bedwood on my short bed '51 3100.
I have two cross sills.
Measuring from the front of the bed, the first cross brace goes at ~27" and the second one is at ~ 54" where the holes are in angle strip.
Mine was rebuild by the PO but, it seems to right.
Sorry, I didn't take enough pictures during disassembly. Note to self, take more pictures.
If I can figure out how I will post the two pictures I have.

The block and pads are available from the usual gang such as Jim Carter. Try part BP137.

On the instructions website take a look at this link:

I am about to start the replacement of my pine wood bed floor. I researched bedboard suppliers and kept coming with the one consistenly best supplier - Mar-k.

I bought my bedwood over a week am and still waiting to cross the border to it pickup.
I have picked a few orders from Niaraga Falls NY as it only about an hour from the border and about 20 minutes to reach the mail centre.
We do not have to pay duty for items that are antiques or are part of the Free Trade Agreements. Everything else is fare game though.
This only works for those of us close to the border who can clear our own materials.

Actually after reading the question I realized I did not have that dimension either. I have just taken the box off my truck and could still the marks from where the rubber pads were so I measured and took the pictures.
My new bed is coming from Mark-K and they have been really helpful with lots of free information on their site. That is why I went with them.
Like everything else, the answer is easy if you know what it is.

I;m pretty psyched. I scored 29 pieces of cypress grade #1 today 9 foot long by 9 inches wide. I have always wanted cypress in her for it's resemblance to the original pine, however it has much more resilience.I have been waiting to put the new bed in "Ginger" since I got her. Anyone that has done a 60's fleetside that has any suggestions to help me along would be appreciated. I have the link for the sizes, I know it needs the grooves on all the boards except the outside two external edges. I would like the metal strips to sit flush. I am planning on using the original strips after I sandblast em and get them powder coated. I believe I will replace the bolts with stainless. Can anyone tell me the sizes and how many I will need of each? I have studied all your comments on finish and have taken them to heart.I am getting the boards planed tomorrow, this is going to be good!Additionally if anyone has tonneau cover information it would be helpful.

I just picked up my new bed boards and SS skid strips that I order from Mar-k and few weeks ago. I live in Canada and have my stuff shipped to Niargara Falls, NY and then clear it myself at the border.
When I go home and opened the boxes I cannot tell you how pleased I was with the quality I received from Mark-k.
Absolutely first class. The wood is Grade One and the SS skid strips and bolt assemblies are absolutely top drawer.
When I was doing my research for bed floors Mar-k was always top of the this list.
I now understand why. These guys are the best at what they do.
