I traded it straight across for a ford f350 that has been sitting in my yard for the last 4 years. The Chevy has been sitting for the last 8 years and i have no idea where to start. Looking forward to any suggestions you might have.

We have a separate forum for the early 60s trucks; check it out. There are so many options for you with this truck, see what others have done and see what you like. Good luck.

Let me start by saying good for you, sounds like who ever traded you straight up for the f*&^d must be some kind of junk collector.. LOL... Just kidding.
Anyway it's great to have you here, I have a 64 C10 (Daily Driver) and a 55 Apache (Basket Case).
I love those 60's trucks. There is lots of information here like Leo was saying in the 60s truck section.
Post some pics as soon as you can.

Dropped some Marvel Mystery into the Spark plug holes and will be picking up a battery to drop into it tomorrow. Took the rear wheels off to check out brakes (previous owner said thats why he stopped driving it) The drivers side looked fine, but the passengers side was really goobered up. I am assuming the pads are bad in there and there must be a bad seal as well. Hoping the axel isnt bad and really hoping someone here can tell me what to look for next.

Thanks for keeping us up to date. Sounds like maybe a bad axle seal has ruined the brake shoes!? OH, and the marvel mystery oil was a good thing. Maybe it'll fire up for you this week.
