I have not found any color pictures of the mechanical systems on Art Deco Big Bolts. Does anyone have a source for paint colors pertaining to steering box, transmission, pto case, etc? Or where these chassis black?

Thanks in advance!

I believe all the items you mention were left in natural finish, i.e., no paint at all.
PTO's do have a paint finish as they come from aftermarket suppliers and not the motor companies. Red, blue and black are the colors of them depending on the make.

If in natural finish. To keep the rust off you either clean it and clear coat with maybe a satin clear, or use the cast iron color paint.

Kicking self for selling off my Taskforce trucks.
Still looking for an LCF or conventional big bolt in decent shape.

If you don't drive a lot in nasty weather and have the truck in a relativly dry place then you can just cover them very lightly with oil or grease and they will not rust, it's far better looking than any paint or clear coat.
